Just a Word (a poem)

It began as a word that grew to something she began to fear…

It grew inside of her taking over of her body so dear…

She could feel it eat away at her soul and ravage her life life a black hole…

The sadness in thier eyes was hard to hide…

She began to cry more and of think, what’s on the other side..

No happy soul could save her from this road ahead…

Thoughts of her future were all but dead…

Fading fast were her plans for tomorrow with lifetime of laughter…

All thoughts of this were gone swept away by this word as it grew faster…

She loved them so much and wanted to show them it all..

Family adventures galore and memories of fall…

And as the word did grow outside of her it began to show…

It took over her fear and numbed all that were near…

The word had no mercy nor compassion as it took over…

She could feel it now, it was such a painful changeover…

For this word was above all living, and luck…

It honeslty made her feel as if life began to suck…

She soon found that the only thing to dull this word from her heart…

Was hope for the light and good thoughts to help her not fall apart…

It was then that she began to feel something change inside,

A light within her sprung up and darkness began to hide…

She found him in the dark, when she was broken and lost…

He held her and loved her at no cost…

Although the word brought her to the end of the road…

She found something along her journey and inside it flowed…

Love poured onto her and lead her away…

To a land where that word could never hurt her not even one day…

She was buried with passion and beautiful thoughts…

Loved ones did gather and prayer, well there was lots…

Her ashes were spread wide among the ocean with care…

Her loved ones came together and memories they did share…

And under that cross her vessel did lay…

Where he loved her each and every day..
